Accessibility Statement

Colouristic Hair Salon & Makeup wants everyone to be able to use this website and book an appointment, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, zoom or other assistive technology.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Measures we've taken include:

• Text alternatives for images, and visible labels for form fields and buttons.
• Keyboard access throughout, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
• Text and buttons with a contrast of at least 4.5:1, and buttons and links large enough to tap (at least 44 by 44 pixels).
• A booking window that works by keyboard and screen reader: calendar days are announced with their date and whether times are open, and problems with the form are announced.
• A website chat that works by keyboard, announces new replies to screen readers, and never covers the page's own buttons.
• Layouts that adapt to phone screens and to zoom, and animations that stop when your device is set to reduce motion.
• Plain-language text, and a phone alternative for everything the website does.

How we check

We test the site with automated accessibility checks (axe) on phone and computer screen sizes, with the keyboard alone, and with reduced motion turned on, and we fix what we find. Automated checks can't catch everything, so we also welcome reports from the people who use the site.

Known limitations

• Some photos are decorative and are skipped by screen readers on purpose.
• If something here doesn't work for you, we'll help another way (see below).
